This issue usually happens when there are some issues with the printer driver, the printer service is not running or some printer associate system files are damaged.
Since this printer was working fine with your Windows 7 computer and the issue has started very recently, it seems that there could be some issue with the printer service on the computer. Let us restart the services and check the status of this issue.
